Energy Conversion and Storage
LBL's efforts in energy conversion and storage are wide ranging, from advanced electrodes, to modeling, surface layer physics, and applied research in lithium and zin- based battery systems. There may be less of a place for direct interaction with utilities, as the work tends to emphasize research, not devices. LBL could be helpful, however, as an objective advisor to utilities about technology.
